Turkey Cam

Club members Eric and Karen Auzins have a webcam focused on their backyard feeders.   In winter they lay down bushels of corn to attract up to 100 wild turkeys.  Turkey Cam takes you to a site to connect to the camera. Internet Explorer is recommended for Turkey Cam. To visit Eric and Karen's website click Auzins.ca

DOUG TARRY
YOUNG ORNITHOLOGISTS’ WORKSHOP

This workshop, a program of Bird Studies Canada, allows young people ages 13 to 17 to develop their skills in ornithology.  Six teenagers are accepted each year from across Canada.  The ten-day workshop takes place in August.  It provides a comprehensive “hands-on” approach to learning about birds.  Students participate in the Long Point Bird Observatory’s monitoring programs, visit birding “hotspots” in the Long Point region, and receive instruction through field work, lecture presentations and laboratory sessions.

Applications are due by May 1st of each year. For more information, or an application form, please contact:
